The reunion will begin Friday and continue through Sunday afternoon. If possible, please plan your itinerary to arrive in Florence by Thursday, the 23rd and leave Monday, the 27th. For the main reunion events, food and drink will be provided as part of your reunion fee. The wine tasting tour is an optional event and will be an extra cost, see below for my details if you’d like to attend.
FRIDAY, JUNE 24TH
Kick-off Event
When: 5pm to 7pm
Where: Gonzaga-in-Florence School, Via Giorgio la Pira, 50121 Firenze FI, Italy (15 minute walk from SMN)
Details: This event will be at the “new” school, where everyone will meet for the first time, enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks, have an opportunity to hear from the current school director and some of our old professors. You will also get your awesome weekend swag and updated agenda for the weekend.
Special Note #1: The city will likely be packed due to the festivities happening that weekend for Calcio Storico Fiorentino, if you plan on driving anywhere or taking transportation, plan accordingly.
Special Note #2: As part of the festivities surrounding the Calcio Storico Fiorentino, there will be fireworks setoff from Piazzale Michelangelo just after dusk. These fireworks should be viewable from most places along the Arno River. After our kick-off event, for those who are interested, we’ll gather at Ponte Santa Trinita to watch.
SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH
Nostalgic Morning Run
When: 8am to 9pm
Where: Santa Maria Novella Piazza, P.za di Santa Maria Novella, 18, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy
Details: This will be a 30 to 40 morning light run for those who want a morning jog through the city, running along the Arno, through some of our favorite alleys and piazzas. If you have teenagers who want to join, they are more than welcome. This will start and end at SMN.
Main Reunion Event
When: 7pm to 11pm (or close, 1am)
Where: La Spada, Via della Spada, 62/R, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy
Details: Our main reunion event where we will all gather and celebrate our year, enjoying delicious food and drink from one of our favorite restaurants in Firienze! We will have a private room that sits about 56, with the rest of us spilling into the main dining area. We’ll be able to mingle and catch-up while appetizers are being served in the private room. Then we’ll be seated for a two course meal. Once the meal is complete, we’ll be able to get up and mingle again over wine and desert back in the room. The room is ours until close (1am).
SUNDAY, JUNE 26TH
Formal Closing Event and Group Pic
When: 11am to 1pm
Where: Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazzale Michelangelo, 50125 Firenze FI, Italy
Details: Will formally close out the weekend, with a group picture at Piazza de Michelangelo and then walk to one of the nearby parks for a box lunch that will be provided. Please arrive promptly at 11am at Piazzale Michelangelo for the pic. We will then walk up to Parco della Carraia for a box lunch.
Optional Wine Tasting Tour Outside the City (Extra Cost of 35 Euros a Person – Includes Transportation – MUST RSVP)
When: 1pm to 4:30pm
Where: Castello di Verrazzano, Via di Citille, 32A Locality Greti 50022
Details: A 30 minute drive outside of Florence, toward Sienna. An opportunity to tour Castello di Verrazzano, and learn and enjoy their classic wines in a beautiful setting. Transportation will be provided with pick-up being at 1pm at the park near Piazzale Michelangelo and drop-off back at Santa Maria Novella.

The Calcio Storico Fiorentino
Our activities will center or originate around Santa Maria Novella (SMN). If you can arrange lodging within walking distance of SMN, that would be ideal. Costs for the primary reunion activities will be approximately $150/per adult, $100/per kid and no charge for kids under 5.
