Some people have indicated they may seek out Airbnb or VRBO accommodations, which is great. If you go this route, try to secure lodging close to Santa Maria Novella, if possible.

Giuseppe Verduci, one of the managers of our pensione’s while we were in Florence (and still a manager of pensioni for GIF) has 4 apartments that are available to rent in Santa Maria Novella. He’d prefer to rent them as a block. The apartments run from 150 Euro to 170 Euro a night. Pictures are forthcoming. If you are interested in booking one of these apartments (first come first serve), please e-mail me and I’ll coordinate with Giuseppe directly. The rooms are described here:

  • Apartment #2: “Cosimo” – Same as above – AVAILABLE

  • Apartment #4: Living room / queen size bed / kitchen  / bathroom  (view of the church Santa Maria Novella). This apartment had an adjoining smaller apartment with another queen size bed which can be connected. There are also two sofa beds. – RESERVED BY PAUL NELSON FAMILY
